Jape Kong Su
The Jape Kong Su Empowerment Initiative is the charitable arm of Jape Group, established to honour the legacy of Mr Jape Kong Su and his long-standing commitment to community development. Built on the same values that underpin Jape Group, including integrity, discipline and a belief in long-term impact, the Initiative focuses on creating real opportunities for individuals and communities to improve their quality of life.
Rather than providing short-term assistance, the Initiative is centred on empowerment. Its programs are designed to equip people with the skills, knowledge and support they need to build sustainable futures for themselves and their communities.
What the Initiative Does
The Initiative delivers targeted programs across Timor-Leste and Northern Australia, focusing on areas that create meaningful, long-term impact:
Education and youth development
Supporting young people through scholarships, mentoring and training to help them reach their potential.
Healthcare access and wellbeing
Strengthening access to essential healthcare services and community health initiatives.
Agriculture and sustainable livelihoods
Supporting farming communities through training, sustainable practices and economic participation.

Who It Supports
The Initiative works with communities where access to opportunity and essential services may be limited. This includes young people, families, farmers, emerging leaders and underserved populations. Programs are delivered in partnership with local organisations and community leaders to ensure they are relevant, practical and capable of delivering lasting results.

Alignment and Recognition
The Jape Kong Su Empowerment Initiative reflects the humanitarian values of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, particularly its commitment to supporting vulnerable communities. While not a formal arm of the Order, the Initiative is recognised and supported within its network.
Through strategic partnerships, the Initiative delivers practical healthcare solutions in underserved regions. This includes support for the Order of Malta Clinic in Dili, Timor-Leste, which provides essential care to up to 200 patients daily, with a focus on women and children.
This work reflects a clear commitment to long-term impact, combining access to healthcare with local training and capacity building to create sustainable change.
