The Opportunity
Dili Development Company Lda is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to support the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems across its development projects.
This role will work closely with project managers, consultants, and contractors to ensure electrical works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with approved designs, standards, and regulatory requirements.
The Perfect Fit
To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will:
- Be willing to relocate to work in Dili, Timor-Leste
- Possess 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer, preferably within construction, property development, or facilities environments
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Have strong knowledge of electrical system design, installation, testing, and commissioning
- Demonstrate experience working with contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams
- Possess a solid understanding of electrical safety standards, codes, and compliance requirements
- Be capable of reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Communicate effectively in English
Candidates who speak Tetum, Portuguese, Bahasa Indonesia/Malaysia, and/or Mandarin Chinese will be an advantage
